چکیده
Abstract The residual compressive strength of eight lightweight concrete mixtures containing three commercial grading (Liapor HD 5 N, Liapor 7 and 8F) coarse aggregate (LWA) were determined after to expose at high temperatures. Eight mixes produced, two by normal weight the rest different types LWA. produced was analyzed temperature exposure effect using LWA, type compaction method studied. To do so, visual inspection, strength, crack pattern, spalling, thermoanalytical analysis conducted. Generally, it could be concluded that formulations with LWA behave more advantageous up 500 °C, compared those quartz gravel aggregates. Moreover, this study found an ideal produce structural which used for producing L1 L3.

Residual Mechanical Properties of Concrete Made with Crushed Clay Bricks and Roof Tiles Aggregate after Exposure to High Temperatures
This paper presents the residual mechanical properties of concrete made with crushed bricks and clay roof tile aggregates after exposure to high temperatures. One referent mixture and eight mixtures with different percentages of replacement of natural aggregate by crushed bricks and roof tiles are experimentally tested. The properties of the concrete were measured before and after exposure to 2...
متن کاملFracture Properties of Polystyrene Aggregate Concrete after Exposure to High Temperatures
This paper mainly reports an experimental investigation on the residual mechanical and fracture properties of polystyrene aggregate concrete (PAC) after exposure to high temperatures up to 800 degrees Celsius. The fracture properties namely, the critical stress intensity factor ( K I C S ), the critical crack tip opening displacement (CTODC) for the Two-Parameter Model, and the fracture energy ...
متن کاملMechanical and Microstructural Evaluations of Lightweight Aggregate Geopolymer Concrete before and after Exposed to Elevated Temperatures
This paper presents the mechanical and microstructural characteristics of a lightweight aggregate geopolymer concrete (LWAGC) synthesized by the alkali-activation of a fly ash source (FA) before and after being exposed to elevated temperatures, ranging from 100 to 800 °C. The results show that the LWAGC unexposed to the elevated temperatures possesses a good strength-to-weight ratio compared wi...
متن کاملPrediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength
Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method. One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...
متن کاملCompressive Behavior of Recycled Mortar After Exposure to High Temperatures
The possibility of using fine recycled concrete aggregate as a substitute for natural sand are relatively limited. In order to promote it for engineering application, this paper reports the effect of elevated temperatures from room temperature to 600C on the compressive behavior of mortars containing recycled fine concrete aggregate was investigated. It is found that no obvious relation between...
